Bespoke Persimmon Build

A driver that doesn't exist yet. Shaped, finished and stamped to your specification, one at a time.

Most of what John Hayes builds never appears on this site. It's commissioned: a head shaped by hand from a solid persimmon block, to a spec worked out between you and John before a single cut is made. Shape, face depth, insert, soleplate, finish, stamping and engraving are all open.

How it works

1. Place the $300 deposit. It reserves your slot on the bench and is credited in full toward your build.
2. Talk it through. A call with John to settle shape, loft, length, shaft, insert, finish and engraving. If you don't know what you want yet, that's what the call is for.
3. Sign off and build. John writes the spec back to you in plain language. Once you confirm it, the balance is quoted and your driver is in hand in 4 to 6 weeks.

Commissions are quoted after the call, because no two are the same object. You get a number in writing before any further money changes hands.
